Anne loves young children; the way they can transform mud into chocolate icing, laugh when a tower of blocks topples down, quietly observe a wood beetle, and become a princess, a pony, and a pull cart all in the same morning.  Anne has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts, and a wide variety of experiences that have led her to a deep commitment to her work in early childhood.  As the mother of four children and three step children, Anne has 18 years of parenting and early childhood teaching experience.  She has attended intensive early childhood programs at Sunbridge College in New York and attends the Annual Waldorf Early Childhood Conference each year.  Anne’s work with the Waldorf approach to education and the concepts of Rudolf Steiner, as a parent and teacher, has been both helpful and inspiring.  Many creative faculties are at work in her teaching including storyteller, puppeteer, singer, songwriter, harp player, dancer, yoga instructor, and gardener.  Her love of nature, animals, and the seasons allows her to enliven the child’s natural connection to these elements of the world.
